East Coast Safety Consulting Student Enrollment Agreement

By registering for a class with East Coast Safety Consulting, LLC ("East Coast Safety Consulting"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.

Registration and Payment

Registration is not guaranteed until full payment or any required deposit has been received. Students are responsible for registering for the correct course and ensuring they meet any prerequisite requirements before attending class.

Attendance Requirements

Students are expected to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Classes begin promptly, and once instruction has started, late arrivals will not be admitted. Students who arrive after class has begun will be offered one courtesy opportunity to reschedule. Future late arrivals may be treated as late cancellations.

Students must attend the entire course, actively participate, and successfully complete all required written examinations and skills evaluations established by the certifying organization. Attendance alone does not guarantee certification.

BLS Renewal Eligibility

Our BLS Renewal course is offered at a discounted rate as a courtesy to students who currently hold a valid American Heart Association BLS Provider certification. To qualify for the renewal rate, you must present a current, unexpired AHA BLS Provider card at the time of class. Students who arrive for the renewal course but are unable to provide proof of a valid certification will be required to pay an additional $15 to remain enrolled in the class.

Complimentary BLS Skills Refresher (South Plainfield Location)

As a thank you to our students, anyone who previously completed an American Heart Association BLS Provider course at our South Plainfield location and holds a current, valid East Coast Safety Consulting certification card is welcome to attend a scheduled BLS class for complimentary skills practice. This refresher opportunity is designed to help healthcare providers maintain confidence and proficiency between certification cycles. To reserve a spot, simply text 908-801-9168 or email info@eastcoastsafetyconsulting.com with your name, original certification date, and preferred class date. Refresher attendance is subject to seat availability and is intended for skills practice only. No new certification card or course completion credit will be issued.

Class Materials Required

AHA and Red Cross stipulate that all CPR and First Aid students are required to possess a provider manual to attend class. An option to purchase and/or download course material will be provided during online registration. It is the students responsibility to possess the correct material for class. If a student arrives to class without the required material, they will be provided with an option to purchase that material upon arrival to class.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Students who provide at least 24 hours' notice may reschedule their class at no additional charge. Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before class are subject to a $25 rescheduling fee.

Students who cancel within 24 hours of class or fail to attend (no-show) forfeit all deposits and tuition paid. Payments for late cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Refunds will only be issued if East Coast Safety Consulting cancels a class. If a class is canceled due to severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances, students will be offered the opportunity to reschedule for a future class.

Student Conduct

East Coast Safety Consulting is committed to providing a safe, professional, and respectful learning environment. Students are expected to conduct themselves appropriately at all times.

Students who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, behave in a disruptive, abusive, threatening, or unsafe manner, or refuse to follow instructor directions may be dismissed from class without refund or certification.

Certification

Certification cards are issued only after the successful completion of all course requirements in accordance with the standards established by the certifying organization. Instructors may not alter or waive these requirements.

Medical Considerations

CPR, first aid, lifeguarding, and related training involve physical activity, including kneeling, lifting, performing chest compressions, rescue breathing, and other practical skills. By participating, you certify that you are physically capable of safely completing these activities or have informed the instructor of any limitations before class begins.

Assumption of Risk and Release

You understand that participation in hands-on training involves inherent risks, including minor physical discomfort, muscle soreness, bruising, or other minor injuries. By participating, you voluntarily assume these risks and release East Coast Safety Consulting, its owners, employees, instructors, affiliates, and agents from liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation, except where caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Photography and Media

East Coast Safety Consulting may occasionally photograph or record classes for educational or promotional purposes. By attending, you grant permission for your image or likeness to be used unless you notify the instructor in writing before class begins. Classrooms we administer classes in may have security cameras in use. The presents of these cameras may be identifiable by a sticker or sign on the exterior or interior of the classroom. If you have concerns about being recorded, please ask your instructor if the classroom is monitored by security cameras.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, East Coast Safety Consulting's liability arising from your registration or participation shall not exceed the amount you paid for the course.

Agreement

By completing your registration, you certify that all information you have provided is accurate and that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Student Enrollment Agreement. You also acknowledge that this electronic acceptance constitutes your legal signature and has the same force and effect as a handwritten signature.
