Refund policy

1. Purpose

This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which payments are made, refunded, forfeited, or transferred for all courses and services offered by Rescue Ready Indiana.

2. General Refund Policy

• All course payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.

• By registering for a course, the student agrees to these terms at the time of purchase.

3. Transfer & Rescheduling Policy

While refunds are not provided, course registrations may be transferred or rescheduled under the following conditions:

Student-Initiated Rescheduling

• A minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required prior to the scheduled course.

Late Cancellation / No-Show

• Failure to provide at least 48 hours’ notice will result in:

  • Forfeiture of all course fees, AND

  • A rescheduling fee of up to $50 (at instructor discretion)

4. Online Courses & Consumables (STRICT NO REFUND)

The following items are non-refundable under all circumstances:

• HeartCode course keys (BLS, ACLS, PALS, Heartsaver)

• Any online training modules

• eLearning access codes

• Provider manuals (digital or physical)

• Course materials or consumables

Once issued or accessed, these items cannot be returned, transferred, or refunded.

5. Instructor Courses

• Instructor course fees are non-refundable

• Rescheduling may be permitted at instructor discretion with appropriate notice

• Failure to attend without proper notice will result in:

  • Forfeiture of fees

  • Additional rescheduling fees if applicable

6. Department / Invoice-Based Courses

For agencies or departments being invoiced:

• Payment terms are typically Net 3–45 days

• Certification cards will not be issued until payment is received in full

• If payment is not received within 45 days:

  • Financial responsibility may transfer to the individual student

• No refunds will be issued once services are rendered or scheduled

7. Course Cancellation by Rescue Ready Indiana

If a course is canceled by Rescue Ready Indiana due to:

• Instructor availability

• Low enrollment

• Weather or emergency

• Facility issues

Students will be offered:

• A full transfer to another course date, OR

• A full credit toward a future course

If no reasonable alternative can be provided, a refund may be issued at the discretion of Rescue Ready Indiana.

8. Failure to Meet Course Requirements

No refunds will be issued if a student:

• Fails to complete required online coursework or pre-course work

• Fails to bring required documentation (e.g., HeartCode certificate)

• Fails to meet course prerequisites

• Is denied participation due to missing requirements

9. Removal from Course

Students removed from a course due to:

• Disruptive behavior

• Safety violations

• Failure to follow instructor direction

will:

• Not receive certification, AND

• Forfeit all course fees

10. Medical or Emergency Considerations

In rare cases involving documented emergencies, exceptions may be considered at the sole discretion of Rescue Ready Indiana, but are not guaranteed.

11. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

• Any chargeback or payment dispute initiated without contacting us first may result in:

  • Immediate suspension of services

  • Denial of future enrollment

  • Additional administrative or collection fees

• We reserve the right to pursue collection of unpaid balances, including legal remedies where necessary.

12. Agreement

By registering for any course or service, the student or paying entity acknowledges and agrees to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
