Terms and Conditions

Students are responsible for the purchase of course materials including books and any other expendables that may be required.

These books are available as add ons to every course we offer. You may also purchase these a shop.heart.org

You agree you will obtain and/or have obtained the proper course materials by the date and time of the course.

If you do not have the required materials, your course enrollment and any fees may be forfeited at the discretion of the instructor

If you are completing a heart code course (online and skills checkoff) any fees paid unless otherwise stated include the skills checkoff portion of the course.

Once you are completed with the online portion you must contact the instructor and obtain the date/time for the skills checkoff.

You must email your course completion certificate (PDF) to the course instructor proving your completion.

Course Payment

Courses are required to be paid for up front

Instructor Courses must be paid for up front, unless invoicing is selected as an option.

The course must be paid in full by course date.

If you register and fail to show up without proper notification within 48 hours of the course, you will forfeit your fees and will be subject to up to a $50.00 rescheduling fee at the discretion of the instructor

All course payments are nonrefundable

Any Heart code course or consumables purchased by the student as an “add on” are nonrefundable.

Conduct

Students will conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner during all courses, failure to do so will result in you being removed from the course.

Any students removed from the course for conduct reasons will not be eligible for certification and will forfeit all course funds paid.

Online course components

Will be completed prior to your arrival to the course, or you may forfeit your seat/course funds and be required to re-register.

If your department is paying for your course, you understand that while they are invoiced and payment is due within 3-45 days, that:

You will not receive your card until the invoice is paid. 

If the invoice is not paid after 45 days, the balance due then becomes the student’s responsibility

Liability

You agree to hold Yannotti Consulting, LLC / Rescue Ready Indiana or the instructor, their co-instructors, institutions providing/holding the course in question harmless for any damages from illness or injury from the course or any physical or emotional injury that occurs during the class.

You agree to reimburse the instructor, Yannotti Consulting, LLC/Rescue Ready Indiana or the institutions providing/holding the course for any damage you cause to the mannequins or other property during the course. 

You will be held liable for any legal fees incurred to collect any fees including course cost, damages either physical, material or medical/physical expenses including any interest accrued.
