Refund, Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy

Purpose of This Policy: This Refund, Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy establishes the terms and conditions governing registration changes, course cancellations, refund eligibility, and rescheduling procedures for all courses offered by Carolina Resuscitation Academy, LLC ("the Academy"). This policy is designed to ensure fair, transparent, and consistent treatment of all students while allowing the Academy to effectively manage course scheduling and resources.

By registering for any course offered by Carolina Resuscitation Academy, LLC, the student acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms set forth in this policy. This agreement is effective at the time of registration and applies to all course formats, including in-person, blended, and skills-check sessions.

 

1. Student Cancellation & Refund Policy

 

Refund eligibility is determined by the amount of advance notice provided prior to the scheduled course start time. The following schedule applies to all student-initiated cancellations:

Additional Notes:

●      All refund requests must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable) to info@carolinaresuscitationacademy.com.

●      Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method used at the time of registration.

●      Registration fees and course fees are non-transferable to another student unless approved in writing by the Academy prior to the course date.

2. Rescheduling Policy (Student-Initiated)

 

Students who need to change their scheduled course date may do so under the following conditions:

●      Students may reschedule their enrollment at no charge if the request is made at least 48 hours before the course start time.

●      Each student is entitled to one (1) complimentary reschedule per enrollment.

●      Subsequent reschedule requests for the same enrollment will incur a $25.00 administrative rescheduling fee, payable prior to confirmation of the new date.

●      Rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable) to info@carolinaresuscitationacademy.com.

●      All rescheduling is subject to seat availability in the desired course date and time.

●      Requests made less than 48 hours before the scheduled course start are treated as cancellations and are subject to the Cancellation & Refund Schedule in Section 1 above.

●      Rescheduled courses must be completed within 90 days of the original course date. Enrollments not completed within this window are forfeited with no refund.

3. Academy-Initiated Cancellations & Rescheduling

 

Carolina Resuscitation Academy, LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course due to circumstances including, but not limited to: low enrollment, instructor unavailability, inclement weather, facility issues, or other conditions beyond the Academy's reasonable control.

In the event the Academy cancels or reschedules a course, the following procedures apply:

●      Affected students will be notified as soon as reasonably possible via the contact information provided at the time of registration.

●      Students will be offered the choice of:

○      (a) A full refund of all fees paid; or

○      (b) A complimentary transfer to the next available course date at no additional charge.

●      The Academy is not responsible for any incidental or consequential costs incurred by the student as a result of an Academy-initiated cancellation or reschedule, including but not limited to travel expenses, lodging, or time away from work.

4. No-Show Policy

 

A "no-show" occurs when a student fails to attend a scheduled course without providing prior written notice to the Academy before the course start time.

●      No-show students forfeit their registration fee entirely, and no refund will be issued.

●      No-shows are not eligible for a complimentary reschedule or course credit.

●      A student who no-showed may re-enroll in a future course offering at the full published course price.

5. Incomplete Course Attendance

 

All courses offered by Carolina Resuscitation Academy, LLC require full participation to satisfy certification requirements. The following conditions apply to students who do not complete a course:

●      Students who leave a course before its completion are not eligible for a refund of any kind.

●      Partial attendance does not satisfy course requirements, and the Academy cannot issue a certification card for incomplete participation.

●      If a student must leave due to a documented medical emergency, the Academy will consider a credit toward a future course on a case-by-case basis. Students in this situation should contact info@carolinaresuscitationacademy.com as soon as possible with appropriate documentation.

6. Course Credit & Transfers

 

In approved cases, the Academy may issue a course credit in lieu of a monetary refund. The following terms govern all course credits:

●      Approved course credits are valid for six (6) months from the date of issuance.

●      Credits are non-transferable and non-refundable; they may not be exchanged for cash or transferred to another student.

●      Credits may be applied toward any course offered by Carolina Resuscitation Academy, LLC and are subject to seat availability.

●      Credits not used within the six-month validity period expire with no cash value.

7. Special Circumstances

 

The Academy understands that unforeseen emergencies can arise. Requests for exceptions to this policy based on extraordinary circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the Academy. Examples of circumstances that may be considered include:

●      Documented medical emergency (student or immediate family member)

●      Military deployment or activation orders

●      Bereavement (death of an immediate family member)

To submit an exception request, email info@carolinaresuscitationacademy.com with a written explanation of the circumstances and any available supporting documentation (e.g., physician's note, deployment orders, obituary). The Academy will respond within 5 business days. The Academy's determination is final.

8. How to Submit a Cancellation or Reschedule Request

 

To ensure timely processing, please follow the steps below when submitting a cancellation or reschedule request:

Step 1 — Send an Email: Email info@carolinaresuscitationacademy.com with the subject line "Cancellation Request" or "Reschedule Request", as applicable.

Step 2 — Include Required Information: Your email must include the following details:

●      Your full name (as registered)

●      Course name and format

●      Scheduled course date and time

●      Reason for the cancellation or reschedule request

●      For reschedule requests: your preferred new date(s), if known

Step 3 — Await Confirmation: The Academy will respond within 1–2 business days to confirm the cancellation or reschedule, along with any applicable refund amount, credit, or administrative fee.

Phone requests are also accepted at 704-280-2212; however, all verbal requests must be followed up in writing via email to be considered official and to establish a documented record for processing.

Policy Change Notice: Carolina Resuscitation Academy, LLC reserves the right to modify, update, or revise this Refund, Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy at any time without prior notice. The most current version of this policy will govern all enrollments made on or after its effective date. Students are encouraged to review this policy at the time of each registration.
