This course is ideal for healthcare providers who may encounter pediatric emergencies but don't specialize in pediatrics. It's designed for first-time learners or those whose certification has expired over 2 months. Suitable for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, EMTs, respiratory therapists, outpatient clinic staff, school-based providers, and others who infrequently see critically ill or injured infants and children.
Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) teaches providers who infrequently deal with pediatrics how to use a systematic approach to quickly assess, recognize the cause, and stabilize a pediatric patient in an emergency situation.
