Infant Essentials (CPR & First-Aid)

This custom course is designed for new and expecting parents, and/or those who spend time with infants. We’ll focus initially, on a few quick preparatory items and then jump into Infant CPR. From there we cover a range of infant-centric first-aid topics including choking, drowning, anaphylaxis, falls, burns, seizures, and many more. The class is very hands-on, working with infant manikins. Q&A is enthusiastically encouraged. The class is 2.5 hour class and is great for including babysitters, family and interested neighbors and friends. This course is also available for private, in-home sessions.

Infant Essentials is a custom course covering a variety of topics aimed at new and expecting parents, caregivers and anyone who will be around infants and young children. Performing CPR and administering first-aid to an infant has some significant differences versus doing it on an adult. Infants small bodies are developing and even their bodily ratios are different than those of adults, so naturally there are extra considerations to take into account. It’s vital to be prepared in case the worst happens, and that is why we developed this course.We focus initially on a few quick preparatory items and then jump into Infant CPR. From there, we cover a range of infant-centric first-aid topics including choking, drowning, anaphylaxis, falls, SIDS Prevention, burns, seizures, and much more. This comprehensive 2.5 hour course is ideal for new parents, babysitters, nursery workers, nannies, grandmothers, and interested neighbors and friends – anyone who will be spending significant time around babies and infants!
