Instructor Development Course (IDC)

The HSI Instructor Development Course trains individuals to become certified instructors in CPR, AED, and First Aid. The course includes an online learning module followed by a one-day, in-person classroom session. Participants must be at least 17 years old and hold current provider certification in adult, child, and infant CPR, AED, and First Aid. Successful completion authorizes individuals to conduct HSI training courses and issue certification cards.

Upon successful completion of the IDC, candidates must affiliate with an approved Training Center or establish their own to conduct HSI training courses and issue certification cards.
