The Resuscitation Group offers high-quality training and certification programs, in accordance with the American Heart Association guidelines, and in accordance with the Washington State Post-Secondary Vocational School programs. By engaging the services of The Resuscitation Group, you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions:
AHA Disclaimer:
The American Heart Association (AHA) strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in their certification courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. The use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the American Heart Association.
COURSE COMPLETION:
Course completion definition: The participant successfully demonstrated the core knowledge on date and The Resuscitation Group, its faculty, or agents neither implicitly nor explicitly guarantees any degree of future performance. So, by participating in this activity, the participant hereby indemnifies and holds harmless The Resuscitation Group, its faculty, or agents from any claims which may arise from participation in this activity or activities. The participant also agrees and understands comprehension and performance are an individual responsibility; The Resuscitation Group does not license or certify individuals in skills or procedures; and the participant must adhere to local/organizational policies or protocols, or other medical direction, within the individual's scope of practice, State and Federal laws.
DOCUMENTATION REPLACEMENT POLICY:
Course completion documentation is generally provided at the conclusion of the class but may take up to 5 business days. There is a $25.00 document charge for any replacement document for any reason other than an error on our part.
REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS:
There are no refunds or credits allowed on AHA online access purchases. (AHA policy)Because of the costs involved to conduct a course, The Resuscitation Group does not offer refunds. If you have an emergency making you unavailable to attend your registered course, contact us as soon as possible. We will strive to get you into another class. Please note, your employer may make you pay for any missed classes or duplicate registrations.
The Resuscitation Group reserves the right to cancel a class depending on weather, census, or unforeseen circumstance. In the event of a cancellation, we will offer refunds or credits to paid clients. Credits for courses shall be used for the same course type originally registered for. Credits expire in 90 days.
CHANGES TO REGISTRATION:
If you need to make changes to your registration, please contact our offices. Often times we can accommodate your schedule. Be advised - If you register for additional classes, you may be personally responsible for costs related to duplicate registrations.
TEXTBOOK POLICY:
The Resuscitation Group (TRG) adheres to the American Heart Association Program Administration Manual requirement (pg. 22) for AHA textbook use.
Participants in AHA courses will have a textbook available for the course they will be attending. You must have a current book to attend the class. Books are available through a variety of resources. The AHA has eBooks available at http://ebooks.heart.org. The Resuscitation Group does not routinely sell books. Call our offices if you need assistance.
PRIVACY NOTICE:
Submission of information is retained for course attendance, participation, and reporting as may be required by the course sponsor and or distributor of continuing medical education certificates. This information may be used to notify the participant of future continuing education or training programs or events. The Resuscitation Group makes reasonable attempts to protect participant personal information submitted against public inspection and disclosure absent a subpoena or for the purposes of health oversight activities as described herein.
You agree to hold harmless The Resuscitation Group (and its agents and representatives) in the event of injury or death as a result of practice or knowledge gained in our training, certification/recertification programs. Information on the website and in the courses is to be used at your own risk.
PAYMENT:
We require Payment for classes prior to attending the class. The Resuscitation Group will defer billing to organizations we have structured agreements with. In the event an organization refuses to pay the fees associated with your class, the attendee is responsible for payment in full. The Resuscitation Group, when possible, will attempt to mitigate any hardship these instances may pose. The Resuscitation Group reserves the right to forward unpaid accounts to a third-party collection agency, if after 120 days with no resolution.
CHILDREN:
Courses at The Resuscitation Group involve complex and medically sensitive topics not appropriate for children. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN TO CLASS. If child care is an issue, please contact our offices.
SUBMISSION:
By submitting this registration information and participating in the registered course/training, the registrant/participant, hereafter referred to as "you" or "your", attest you have read, understand, and agree with the course disclaimers, terms, submission agreement, conditions, and notices, and you have submitted to the best of your knowledge correct and true information. The Resuscitation Group does not guarantee whether implicitly or explicitly comprehension or future performance. You understand learning, comprehension, and functioning at your level of licensure or certification and adhering to the Standard of Care, Scope/Duty of Care, and Scope of Practice is an individual responsibility; thereby, you agree to hold harmless The Resuscitation Group, its agents, and representatives from any and all personal and professional liability and expense including attorney's fees and costs arising from, or as a result of, your negligence. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to notify The Resuscitation Group immediately via email of any change in the information used for the purpose of registration to help ensure proper and timely notification and or receipt of course information or documentation.
PHOTOS
I hereby grant The Resuscitation Group permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media (“photo”) in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration. I understand and agree that all photos will become the property of The Resuscitation Group and will not be returned. I hereby irrevocably authorize The Resuscitation Group to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. In addition, I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo. I hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge The Resuscitation Group from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.
