Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions of Service
Welcome to Rhythm of Life CPR. By booking a course, paying a registration fee/deposit, or participating in an American Heart Association (AHA) training session with us, you (the "Student," "Client," or "Host") agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1. American Heart Association (AHA) Material Policy
Mandatory Manuals: Per AHA regulations, every student must have access to the current, official AHA student provider manual before, during, and after the course.
Book Purchase: Manuals are not included in the baseline course tuition unless explicitly stated. Students must purchase a physical book or an AHA eBook prior to the class start date.
Copyright: All AHA course materials, videos, and exams are strictly copyrighted. Duplication, recording, or digital distribution of class materials is legally prohibited.
2. Physical Demands & Safety Disclaimer
Physical Activity: CPR and BLS training require physical exertion. You will be required to kneel on the floor, bend, and perform repetitive, forceful chest compressions on a mannequin. [1]
Medical Considerations: By registering, you confirm you are physically fit to perform these tasks. If you have a medical condition, recent injury, or are pregnant, you must notify the instructor before class starts.
Liability Waiver: Rhythm of Life CPR is not liable for any physical injury, strain, or medical complications resulting from your participation in the practical portions of the course.
3. Attendance & Tardy Policy
Arrival Time: Please arrive or be ready at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
Late Policy: Due to strict AHA curriculum timing constraints, students arriving more than 10 minutes late will be locked out of the class. Missing a portion of the course disqualifies you from certification.
Rescheduling Fee: If you are locked out for being late, your booking fee is forfeited, and you must pay a $25 rescheduling fee to book a new date.
4. Mobile Site Requirements & Group Bookings
(Applicable to clients booking private on-site/home/office training)
Space Standards: The host must provide a clean, safe, smoke-free, and climate-controlled environment with adequate floor space for all students to practice on mannequins simultaneously.
Instructor Access: The host must ensure clear parking, building access, and security clearance for the instructor at least 20 minutes before class time.
Minimum Student Count: Group bookings require a minimum of 3 students. If fewer students attend on the day of the course, the host remains financially liable for the full minimum group rate.
5. Cancellations, Refunds, & Rescheduling
No Refunds: All class registrations and deposits are non-refundable.
Rescheduling Notice: You may reschedule your class up to 48 hours before the start time at no penalty.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations made under 48 hours, or failure to show up to the class, will result in total forfeiture of your payment.
6. eCard Certification Delivery
Successful Completion: An AHA eCard will only be issued if the student passes all practical skills assessments and scores an 84% or higher on the written exam (if required for the specific course).
Processing Time: eCards are typically issued via email following successful course completion and full payment processing.
Accurate Information: The student is solely responsible for providing a correct, unique email address. Rhythm of Life CPR is not responsible for lost cards due to typos provided during registration.
7. Official AHA Non-Sponsorship Disclaimer
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the Association. [1, 2, 3]
