Hovn, Stripe, or another disclosed payment processor collects the information needed to process a payment. River City CPR receives transaction records but does not store complete credit or debit card numbers on our systems.
Technical Information
When you visit our website, limited technical information may be collected automatically, including IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, requested pages, and access times.
Our website is protected and delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes limited technical information and may use essential security technologies to provide security, performance, and reliability services. River City CPR does not use analytics, advertising cookies, or cross-site behavioral tracking technologies on rivercitycpr.com. The site may store a light or dark mode preference in your browser’s local storage; that preference is not sent to River City CPR and is not used for tracking.
Sensitive and Accommodation Information
When required for certification, regulatory compliance, safety, or an accommodation request, we may collect date of birth, emergency contact information, or limited information you voluntarily provide about a participation limitation or requested accommodation.
We use this information only for the certification, safety, accommodation, or legal purpose for which it was collected. We do not use sensitive information for advertising or profiling.

SMS and Mobile Information
River City CPR may send class reminders and follow-up text messages only to individuals who have consented to receive them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.
Mobile information, including phone numbers, text-message opt-in data, and consent records, will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be provided to service providers solely as necessary to deliver River City CPR’s messaging services.
When We Disclose Information
We disclose personal information only when necessary to provide our services, at your direction, or to comply with legal obligations. Recipients may include:
Hovn, for registration, scheduling, communications, certification tracking, and related services
Stripe and other disclosed payment processors
Certifying organizations, training centers, accreditation organizations, and regulatory agencies
Cloudflare and technology providers supporting security, communications, and website operations
Professional advisers, government agencies, or law enforcement when reasonably necessary or required by law
A successor or purchaser in connection with a merger, reorganization, or transfer of the business or its assets, subject to applicable law
River City CPR does not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
California Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, California residents may have the right to:
Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
Request access to specific personal information
Request correction of inaccurate personal information
Request deletion, subject to applicable exceptions and retention requirements
Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where applicable
Use an authorized agent to submit a request where permitted
Receive equal service and not be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right
River City CPR does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use sensitive personal information for purposes that require a separate limitation request.
To submit a request, contact us using the information below. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority before fulfilling a request. We endeavor to respond to reasonable privacy requests even when a particular privacy law does not require it.
Browser Privacy Signals and Third-Party Tracking
River City CPR does not track visitors across unrelated websites and does not permit advertising networks to collect personal information on rivercitycpr.com. Links to external services do not transmit information to those services until you choose to follow the link.
Because legacy browser “Do Not Track” signals are not standardized, our website does not respond to them separately. Where required by applicable law, we treat a recognized opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of sale or sharing. Because River City CPR does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, such a signal does not otherwise change the site experience.
Data Retention
We retain training records, certification records, and related information for as long as required by applicable laws, certifying organizations, accreditation standards, contractual obligations, or legitimate business purposes.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
While we take appropriate security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our website.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page with an updated revision date. If a change materially affects how we use previously collected personal information, we will provide additional notice when reasonably appropriate.
